The Kapha Constitution
Kapha hair is thick and abundant. With a scalp that steadily produces oil and strands that hold their structure, Kapha hair is impressive. But when Kapha rises, or buildup accumulates, the scalp congests, hair grows dull, and fullness feels like weight. Our Kapha formulations clear the scalp and reveal the luster.
Shampoo Bar
Round · Deep-cleanse formula
The most clarifying bar in the range — a deep cleanse that lifts buildup from a productive scalp without the harshness of a standard clarifying shampoo. Shikakai and neem cut through excess sebum while rice protein protects the strand structure underneath.
Conditioner Bar
Square · Light-weight formula
A light, non-occluding conditioner that seals the strand and reveals the natural luster that buildup hides. Moringa provides cuticle-level lubrication; manjishtha supports circulation and lymphatic drainage, which Kapha congestion progressively slows.
Botanicals
What's inside
Shikakai
A traditional Ayurvedic cleanser with a naturally low pH, shikakai removes buildup without stripping — the distinction that matters for Kapha scalps, which produce oil steadily and need regular deep cleansing without disruption.
Neem
Antibacterial and antifungal, neem keeps the scalp environment clear when excess oil creates conditions for congestion. A Kapha staple in Ayurvedic tradition — used to move stagnant energy and keep the scalp surface clean.
Moringa Oil
Pressed from the moringa seed, this is one of the lightest conditioning oils — exceptionally high in oleic acid, which penetrates without sitting on the surface. Ideal for Kapha hair, which needs conditioning without weight.
Manjishtha
A traditional lymphatic and circulatory herb. Kapha imbalance is characterised by congestion and slow movement — manjishtha works systemically to restore circulation to the scalp and support the follicle environment that Kapha buildup suppresses.
Rice Protein
A lightweight film-forming protein that strengthens the strand structure through deep-cleansing cycles. Protects Kapha's naturally dense hair against the brittleness that clarifying products cause when used repeatedly.
Fragrance Profile
Neroli opens — bright and slightly bitter. Clary sage deepens into Himalayan cedar. The scent is light and upward by design, counteracting Kapha's tendency toward heaviness and stagnation.
Kapha is the third system in the ARCIS range. It completes the collection — three systems, three constitutions, each formulated from a different elemental starting point. Not for every hair, but for a specific nature.
